These courses lead to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study. The university has grown rapidly and today it counts about 10.000 students, 336 faculty members, 5 departments, and 47 laboratories.

Research at the University takes place within the following 5 departments: Economics and Law; Electrical and Information Engineering “Maurizio Scarano”; Civil and Mechanical Engineering; Humanities and Philosophy; Human Sciences, Society and Health. The about 330 researchers work at a scientific production in constant growth, both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Several are the European projects funded at different levels (Framework Programmes, European Science Foundation, European Social Fund) as well as research projects of national interest.
